Re: Poultry Farm at Lamberts Lane « Result #2 on May 10, 2009, 4:20pm »
I’ve been annoyed by a high pitched screeching noise from Old Lamberts Lane on Sat & Sun (9 & 10 May 09). On examination I discover the owner of the far end stables, has apparently employed a contractor to cut the hedges and canopy. The mess is appalling, many birds’ nests have disappeared and the hedge banks destroyed in places by the tyres of the large tractor used to cut the hedges and trees.
I understand that farmers are asked to restrict hedge cutting during April to October time to protect birds and wild life, I don’t know if there is anything in law, but the unnecessary wanton desecration beggars belief, and in my opinion a pre curser of another planning application, hoping perhaps to receive more sympathetic treatment from Cheshire East.

Hi Nebulous,
Welcome to what is becoming an all girl thread.
Pleased to see you are also interested in advanced driving, as an ex nurse I have often seen lives ruined by careless driving, and the girls are now getting worse than the lads.
Like granny I have not been using this forum, must give myself a verbal clip around the ear but never seem to have 2 seconds to myself.

Hello Everyone,
Thank you Headmaster for listening to my PM and putting in a Heading for new members. Having twisted your tail I must now introduce myself.
I am a Congleton girl originally but now travel all over the world but it is nice to visit Congleton from time to time. I love driving and have completed an advanced driving course so no comments about lady drivers, only nice ones of course.
I hate political correctness and females insisting being called Ms (yuk) Mega rich banker are also on my hate list because I can't find one, also don't mention politics.
I am surprised this forum is so under utilised so I will tell my friends.

What does this mean for Congleton?
Primary care services in Congleton are currently provided from 3 General Practice Surgeries, two of which have limited space for expansion. Congleton War Memorial Hospital provides a range of outpatient services, diagnostic facilities and in-patient beds, but the building is old and provides limited flexibility for service development.
Plans to develop modern primary care premises bringing the three surgeries into one location, alongside community health services (district nurses, health visitors etc) and an enhanced range of clinic and diagnostic facilities are at an early stage of discussion.
A process has commenced to appoint a developer to work with the GP Practices and Community Services to explore options for relocation of services and identify the potential sites. This approach has already been successful in several other towns of Cheshire. A project steering group, involving local GPs, is being convened involving other interested parties and including patient representation.
In addition there are proposals for an 'intermediate' care service which includes in-patient beds and home-based care. This will support shorter hospital stays, or avoid unnecessary admission to an acute hospital. We are planning for more than 40 beds in Congleton, supporting a range of intermediate services (including stroke rehabilitation and palliative care).
This is a significant increase of in-patient beds in the town which will serve the borough with a focus on individualised care and maintaining independence for an increasingly ageing population.

Welcome to the Congleton Community Healthcare Projects……
On the table are thoughts about combining the 3 GP practices, and the War Memorial into a central organisation.
The GP practices, it is proposed would maintain their independence, whilst sharing a common hospital and other core facilities, within the same or adjacent buildings.
It occurs to me the situation is similar to that of our ancestors in the 1920’s. How can we provide optimum health care with the funds available, which will benefit the majority of Congleton residents? With this in mind please submit your comments and ideas. It is hoped panel members will participate on this forum.

Apologies to anyone who turned up at the Unicorn last night hoping to see Daniel and Paul. The Landlord had forgotten when he booked us that he had promised to show the boxing (Amir Kahn) on the T.V., so we were unable to perform. We will be back there soon, and I will post details when available. Paul

Daniel Toft is performing tonight (Sept. 6th) 9.00 pm at the Unicorn, West Heath, Congleton. Daniel is a very talented guitarist and well worth watching, and listening to. He will play music from all eras, in a wide variety of styles. He will be supported by Paul Sutherst on rhythm guitar and vocals. (Yes that's me, folks!) Modesty prevents me from saying that I am very talented, but I get by!! Hope to see you all there.
Click on the above and it will take you to the Guitar club web site where you can view videos to judge the stsndard of our performances. I do not have the necessary computer skills to do a "taster" muself but I know a man who can, when he gets back from his holiday!
